Characteristics and installation precautions of water softening equipment

Water softening equipment, that is, equipment for reducing water hardness, is mainly used for removing calcium and magnesium ions from water. In the process of softening water, water softening equipment can not reduce the total salt content in water, and can be used for softening make-up water of air-conditioning systems and treating domestic water. Water softening equipment can be widely used for softening make-up water of steam boiler, hot water boiler, exchanger, evaporation condenser, air conditioner, direct combustion engine and other systems. It can also be used to treat domestic water in hotels, restaurants, office buildings, apartments and homes, and soften water in industries such as food, beverage, wine making, laundry, printing and dyeing, chemical industry and medicine. Generally speaking, the operating pressure requirement of water softening equipment is 0.2-0.5MPa, and there are two reasons for this pressure requirement:
The pressure is greater than 0.2MPa, in order to ensure the salt absorption effect of regeneration. Because the full-automatic water softening equipment extracts salt water by forming negative pressure by water power, the pressure at the upper end of the salt absorber directly affects the speed and effect of salt absorption. If the pressure is lower than 0.18MPa, the effect of salt absorption will obviously decrease. When the pressure is greater than 0.5MPa, the salt absorption effect can be guaranteed, but at this time, the pressure on the pipeline part is too large, and the joints are prone to leakage. In addition, due to the excessive pressure on the internal components of the multi-way valve caused by water pressure, it may cause inaccurate action of the multi-way valve, and then directly affect the working effect.
 
When the pressure is too high, abnormal situations may occur when the equipment is running:
 
1. The resin leaks during backwashing. If the water pressure is too high, the expansion degree of the resin may exceed the calculated value during backwashing. If the pore of the upper water distributor is large enough, it is very easy to cause the resin to enter the multi-way valve from the top and flow out along the drainage pipe, thus causing resin leakage.
2. When the water is injected too much and the water pressure is too high, more water will be injected into the salt box during the salt water reinjection stage, which may cause abnormally high water level in the salt box and sometimes even overflow of salt water.
3. The valve action is abnormal, and the outlet water index is unstable and qualified. When the water pressure is too high, the pressure on the piston or valve plate side of the multi-way valve may exceed the original calculation, so that the original motor of the valve body may not be smooth enough when driving the valve action, which may cause the valve action not to reach the standard, which may form some passages inside the valve, and the untreated water will flow to the outlet through these passages, causing the water index to reach the standard unsteadily.
4. The regeneration effect is not good: when the water pressure is too high, the salt absorption speed will be accelerated, so the effective regeneration time may be shortened a lot, thus failing to achieve a good regeneration effect.
It is suggested to install a pressure reducing valve to control the pressure. Constant pressure or proportional pressure reducing valve can be used, so that stable pressure can be obtained at the later stage.
 
[Precautions for installation of water softening equipment:]
1. This device must be placed indoors for anti-freezing and sun protection, and must prevent impact when moving.
2. During installation, a gap of 0.5m should be left around for maintenance.
3. The inlet water pressure is required to be between 0.2-0.6MPa. If it is not met, additional pressure reduction measures can be added.
4. The user should provide a softening water tank with its own volume according to the usage to meet the water requirement. The soft water tank should have anti-corrosion measures to prevent the soft water from being polluted again.
5. Installation can be carried out at the foundation level without installation foundation, and a sewage channel is required on the nearby ground.
6. Keep the salt solution saturated, and the solid salt should be higher than the salt level.
7. After installation, flush the pipeline to prevent blockage and resin pollution caused by impurities.
[Raw water quality requirements:]
1. Raw water quality conditions should meet the requirements of general sodium ion exchange water treatment equipment.
2. The equipment is installed indoors. In order to prevent the resin from freezing, parts from rusting and electrical short circuit faults, the ambient temperature should be above zero, and it should be dry and clean without steam.
3. After the equipment is in place, all fixing bolts, especially fixing motor bolts, wiring bolts inside and outside the switchboard and limit switch bolts should be re-tightened, and the switchboard shell should be grounded.
4. The upper and lower bolts of the lever fixing block on the rotary valve cannot be loosened, and the exchange column cannot be impacted.
5. Time relay, do not adjust when working. When repairing scrubbing equipment, cut off the power supply, and prevent water from entering the motor, switchboard and limit switch.
6. During operation, water supply and power supply shall be provided at the same time, and when shutdown, both water and electricity shall be closed.
7. Always keep the equipment clean. Do not lack oil in the refueling part. Be careful not to touch the pulley during operation to avoid accidents.
8. The switchboard and the equipment body have been installed together. If the user has the conditions, the switchboard can be separated from the body. The switchboard shall be hung at a fixed place, but the connection number shall not be wrong.
9. When the user stops the machine every time, he can't stop the machine in a short period of time, but stop the machine at the same time.
 
 
 
10. For water with large sediment content, precipitate before softening and then enter the machine.
